Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing design and development of new products, features and the continuous improvement/development of existing products. The Project manager will oversee and coordinate a team of engineers and technical specialists to deliver robust and reliable products, within agreed project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop and manage project schedules, ensuring project tasks and milestones are met to agreed business targets.
  • Lead the delivery of key projects through each of the engineering phases.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of internal development and external customer facing projects, ensuring stakeholder management.
  • Create and maintain the necessary supporting project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively manage project risks and opportunities.
  • Manage project budgets within the framework provided.
  • Work on a continual improvement basis, proposing process improvements where necessary.
  • Provide regular progress update reports to management.

      Key Requirements:

      • Hands-on approach to project management, with an ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
      • Strong history in the successful project management of complex, multidisciplined engineering projects.
      • Ability to independently manage complex projects, involving stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
      • Technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering is required, electric charging knowledge is highly desired.
      • Ability to see the “bigger picture” and question the norms where needed.
      • Ability to demonstrate a combination of technical skills, leadership, teamwork people management, and interpersonal skills.
      • Experience of MS Project, MS Office and JIRA.
      • This role can be open to Project Engineers wanting to move into project management.
